I decided to learn more about Amanda when I realized how many different Amanda Mertz there were in or near Allentown in the mid-1800’s. There is no doubt about the biography of this Amanda.
Her death certificate says she was the daughter of David and Caroline (Scholl) Mertz and she was the wife of Charles A Schoudt. She and Charles are both buried in the same cemetery as her parents. They are both on find-a-grave and she is linked to her parents there.
