My Comments notes for Elizabeth McDougall
This was sent to me by Don Wright whose wife descends from Elizabeth:
Elizabeth McDougall married Floyd Holt, Sr. and they lived initially in Wilmington, North Carolina
and later moved to Columbia, South Carolina. They had only one child, Floyd Holt, Jr., my wife's
father, who lived in Bolivar, Tennessee.
In the portion of your narrative "- 1924 Miss Christine McDougall dies." includes a survivor in that paragraph, her nephew, Floyd F. Holt, Jr.. Floyd F. Holt, Jr.'s mother was Elizabeth McDougall who was married to Floyd Holt, Sr., my wife's father and grandfather respectively.
The information of James Sprunt's company concerning the overseas agencies his company traded with was gathered from another source. I was hoping you had discovered the locations of these agencies during your research. Since James McDougall was a "Sea Captain" with the James Sprunt's company, we were curious as to where his ship ported.
The probable reason James was absent in your narrative on so many occasions is because he was at sea with his ship. This information was provided by Elizabeth's son, Floyd Holt, Jr., to my wife.
