Research notes for Benjamin Buck
Benjamin Buck. In the 1783 tax list, Benjamin Buck was taxed on Bucks Outlet, 213 acres, Mine Run Hundred, Baltimore County. Benjamin Buck died xxxx, and in 1808, his heirs sold Bucks Outlet to Isaac Hendrix. Then in 1816, Isaac split the land in two halves and sold one half each to Thomas and Joshua, I assume his sons. Joshua (and John) then mortgaged their half to Adam Hendrix in 1826 and conveyed the land in 1833 to him. Adam left it in his will to be divided between his two grandchildren who survived his daughter Ruth (Hendrix) Koller -- there’s a nice symmetry here since Ruth, I assume was named for Ruth Sutton, Adam’s mother -- and in 1839 Isaac Koller deeded his half of what was half of the original land to his sister Eliza now married to Kean Curry. The land then continued to be subdivided and sold off in pieces.
