Parent-Proof notes for Christopher Sutton
Christopher Sutton posted bond for Dorcas (Sutton) Thomas when she was the Executrix of the estate of her second husband Joseph Thomas in 1748.

Since her son Joseph was of age, and clearly still alive, it seems to me that it can only be that Christopher was her oldest son.
Discrepant Facts notes for Christopher Sutton
It is a little problematic that Thomas and Dorcas baptized four children at St. Paul’s Parish in the years 1722-1728 yet no record of the baptism of a son Christopher exists. But perhaps they were not yet attending that church in 1718 when Christopher was born or perhaps records were not yet being kept.

It may be more problematic that, according to Robert Barnes, a court record in 1734 said that Thomas Sutton died leaving four children (the ones we know of for sure). I have not seen that court record but my explanation is that since Christopher was “of age” at the time of that 1734 court citation, he alone was not listed. It may have been some sort of Orphans Court proceeding -- which typically dealt only with minor children.
Children Names notes for Sarah (Spouse 1)
I believe they were the parents of Darkes (Dorcas) Sutton who married Benjamin Buck on 10 Feb 1763. Darkes obviously was quite young (16 or so?) but that was not beyond the norm of the times and why else would Benjamin Buck be named Administrator of Christopher’s estate when he died later in 1763.

Benjamin Buck is a key supporting character in the Adam Hendrix story. He was the original owner of Bucks Outlet (patented as Buck Point Lott), later bought by Isaac Hendrix. It then passed to his sons and grandsons, then to Adam Hendrix, then to his Koller grandchildren and finally to Eliza (Koller) Curry, wife of Kean.
