The Yost consortium I worked with was interested in a Jacob Yost who was buried in the Hendrix family cemetery (at Leader Farm in New Freedom). Their first thought was that Jacob was the son of Rachel (Klingemann) (Yost) Hendrix. The problem with that is his birthday on his tombstone was a few months before the birthday of Rachel’s son Abraham Yost ruling out that Jacob was her son.

Based on that, the Yost consortium concluded that Jacob must have been the son of Abraham Yost and his wife Elizabeth and they then conjectured that Elizabeth might have been Rachel’s sister, That would make Jacob the nephew of Rachel in that way as well the nephew of Rachel by her first marriage to Nicholas Yost, Abraham’s brother.

I agree totally that Elizabeth was Elizabeth Klingemann, Philip’s daughter (the one of that name by his second wife). My reasoning has to do with the sponsors at the baptism of her daughter Elizabeth who would only be connected to her if she indeed was Klingemann.
