Parent-Proof notes for Margaret J Curry
MDLandRec JB 85 278 tells the story that Thomas Wilson died siezed of a tract called Rutledge’s Labour, That 1/7 of it was to go to his daughter Delilah who had married Adam Curry. That Delilah and Adam were now both deceased and therefore their only child, Margaret J, owned the 1/7 part and was selling it to Eli Wilson. Kean Curry witnessed the deed.
Discrepant Facts notes for Margaret J Curry
Her memorial on find-a-grave says she was born in 1856. It also says she died 30 May 1891 and a picture of her tombstone is posted from which I can read she was 38 years 10 months (and some number of days) old. So their arithmetic is not very good as that would indicate a birth in July 1852. That is quite consistent with her being age 8 in the 1860 Census. Then, in Census, she was 16 in 1870 and 27 in 1880.
It also makes more sense since her mother, according to her memorial on find-a-grave, died in 1855.
