One Internet family tree says Ezekiah was the father of William and that his parents were John Slade (of Succors, England) and Elizabeth Spencer. No sources were given to support any of those relationships, so I have not included that couple in my database.

I am not sure it is proven that Ezekiah was, in fact, William’s father. But I have included Ezekiah in my family tree just to take the family back to their English roots. Whoever William’s father was, he did not emigrate.
