Jacob named son Henry in his will. He lived his life near Lewisburg.

The Commemorative Biographical Record of Central Pennsylvania (CBR) says Henry spent his entire life upon the old homestead at Mertz Cross Roads on the Furnace Road in Union County. In 1837, he married Lydia Aurand daughter of Abraham.
