An Elizabeth Potee married Henry Eberhart on 15 Nov 1840.
In 1850, she is age 25, living with Henry 36, and Henry 9 and John 3 in Baltimore.
In 1860, this family lives in Richmond, VA, all ages +10 and also Mary E 9, Ann Louisa 6 and William 2.
In 1870, the younger Henry 28 — a brick maker — is head of household and his siblings: John 22, William 12, Mary E 19, Ann L 16 are also present.
Also present: Elizabeth age 69. This must be the mother but that age is all wrong. And Mary Potee is present age 90 — her age a little high. Finally, Isbella age 23 and Mary B age 1.
The order people are reported is strange as Isabella and Mary B are the last Everharts but in 1880, we learn that was the younger Henry’s wife and their daughter, now Mollie.
But then a death notice in the Baltimore Sun says Mary Potee, beloved wife of Peter, died at age 85 on 13 Oct 1870. The notice posted by her daughter Mrs. Eberhart.
So I would guess Elizabeth was older than 25 in 1850 since she already had a 9-year old son. So maybe she was born soon after Peter’s marriage to Mary in 1820 which would make her 29 in 1850, 39 in 1860 and 49 in 1870 — not sure how that got to be 69.
