My Comments notes for Josephine (Spouse 1)
A VA Marriage record says that Josephine Ford b.1847 in Greenville Co, d/o Saml and Jane Ford married 5 Nov 1868 Isaac H Walton.

In the 1870 Census, we find Samuel Ford, his wife Martha Jane and living with them are Isaac H and Josephine Walton.

Isaac H Walton (1844-1873) is buried in Emporia, find-a-grave memorial 14453284.

In 1880, we find Josephin Walton living in Greensville County with her mother Martha Ford and her daughter Hattie Sue age 9.

Another VA Marriage record says that Josephine Walton d/o Saml and Jane Ford born 1847 in Greensville married Robt H King 10 Jan 1889 in Greensville.

find-a-grave memorial 142562246 gives her name as Josephine Ford King and her memorial says wife of R H King. The dates given there are 26 Aug 1846 to 6 Jan 1890.

a picture of her tombstone lists the three wives of R H King as Mary E Cato (1834-1887), Josephine Ford (1846-1890) and Alberta N Taylor (1853-1911). I think all were widows when he married them.

A VA Death listing says that Josephine King b. abt 1847 in Greensville died 28 Nov 1889 in Greensville and was the daughter of Ben and Mary Ford.

So whether she died 28 Nov 1889 or 6 Jan 1890 is a valid question, personally I’d go with the death record. And I think if I could see that actual death record, it might well be it says Sam Ford and Martha.
Parent-Proof notes for Mary E (Spouse 2)
