Well I’m sure, from his marriage record, that I have found the son the family history said Henry had named Edward. Interesting guy.
Evidently he married first Mary Boden and had a son Charles in 1864 whose Illinois Death Certificate named them as his parents. And in 1879, we find those three people lingo in Olney, Illinois.
But then, there is a marriage record for Edward to Cora D Boden Smith in 1878. I would guess Cora was Mary’s sister and she had first married Smith. Edward, by the way, had a sister who married a Boden, too. The Boden and Martz families got along quite well. And in 1880, Edward lived with Charles and wife Dena (For D?).
But there is yet another marriage record for Edward, naming the same parents, this time marrying Lydia J Phelps in 1887.
Edward is on find-a-grave. He is inked to all three of those wives and he, with wife Mary Ann, are linked to Charles and four others as their children.
