A man named Paul Martz has done Ancestry’s autosomal DNA test and he and I, Ancestry says, are in the range of 5th to 8th cousins. He has a very minimal tree posted and he descends from Russell so is of the Wilhelm line which rules out that we share a Martz or Mertz ancestor.
