The wills of both George and his wife Elizabeth make it clear they had a son Jacob. I never bothered to try to learn much about Jacob. But then my Ancestry DNA told me I am related to someone who apparently descends from Jacob (my DNA cousin calls him Jacob William) Hampshire and Christina Baughman. He gives the dates 1796-1867 for Jacob and so is clearly talking about the Jacob Hampshire buried at Gunpowder Baptist (aka Middletown Cemetery) with the dates, this being the same cemetery where George and Elizabeth and several other members of both their and Jacob’s family are buried.
