In the 1820 Census in Cambria County we find Philip George and Paul George as heads of household.
In there 1830 Census in Cambria, we find Philip George Sr., Philip George Jr., Philip D George, Christopher George, Jeremiah George, Nicholas George and Paul George.
In 1840, Philip George is age 40-49, Philip D George is 30-39 and there still are many other men named George in that Census with all those familiar names.
In 1850, Philip George age 44, wife Rebecca 43 and children: Mausace (Morris) 23, Albert 21, William 18, Paul 15, Frederick 15, Christopher 13, Philip 5, Elizabeth 3 and Sophia 2 live in Washington Township, Cambria County.
I would guess, from the different in ages between Philip and Philip D in 1840 that the Philip of interest here was Philip D George.
Philip George, the one I make note of in 1850, is of interest to me because he has 5 descendants that will marry someone named Martz who all are descendants of Samuel Mertz who lived his life in or near Middleburg, PA.
