My Comments notes for Andrew D March
Carl March, a grandson, I think, of Andrew D has DNA which matches me and several other people all of whom are related to each other as members of what I call the Longswamp Alsace DNA group in the Mertz/Martz DNA project at Family Tree DNA.
This means Carl shares a common ancestor with us. It is my belief that we would have to go back at least 10 or more generations to find that common ancestor but I think he was of the Mertz family of Menziken (or nearby), Switzerland.
I suspect Rudolf came to America direct from Switzerland so I doubt Jacob is our common ancestor but perhaps Peter Gerber or Fridli.
