I found a message board post that says:
"I am descended from McGannon Coghill, father of Mary Leonard Coghill Marts 1819-1893. McGannnon is said to have been the son of Zachariah and Alse McGannon Coghill. Anyone have any evidence of this? I would appreciate possible sources to check."
Jackson County, Indiana Probate Order Book 1 shows George Marts was appointed Guardian for the minor heirs of McGannon Coghill, namely Zachariah, Polly and Anderson, all over the age of 14.
