Research notes for Thomas (Spouse 1)
A man named Joseph Wiggin qualified for membership in the Massachusetts Society of the Sons of the American Revolution using this Thomas Hollis as his Patriot.

Joseph was the son of Ruth Hollis, she the daughter of Thomas Hollis and Deborah Clark Allen, grand-daughter of Thomas Hollis and Priscilla Hayden and great-grand-daughter of Thomas Hollis and Lydia Holbrook.

About Captain Thomas, Joseph wrote: “He served as a 2nd Lieutenant in Capt John Vinton’s Braintree Co Grenadiers, Col Lincoln’s regiment which assembled 19 Apr 1775 with 3 days service.

Also Ensign Capt John Vinton’s company of minute men which assembled 29 Apr 1775, service 3 days.

Additional service detailed is assembled 4 Mar 1776 with service 15 days, assembled 13 Jun 1776 service 4 days to march to Hough’s Neck and again 24 Jun 1776 to march to Nantasket.

Finally, was Captain of 2nd company in Col Ebenezer Thayer’s 3rd regiment of Mass Militia receiving his commission 17 Jul 1777.”

I found record of his death in a book Five Hundred Plus Revolutionary War Obituaries and Death Notices. They cited the Village Register, a newspaper of some sort, dated 15 Sep 1820.

(Note: the Capt John Vinton mentioned was also an ancestor of Priscilla Hayden Hollis.)
