I was looking one-time for the son of Sebastian Martz (S1b1) named Henry born about 1842 after he left Sebastian’s household as an adult when I found this Henry of the right age and living in about the right place. I thought I had found the right guy.

But it turns out that Sebastian’s son Henry as an adult almost always went by what I guess was his middle name Alexander.

So if that was true, who was this Henry? I believe he was in fact William Henry Marts and that he was the son of William Marts who, because of his marriage in Clarke County, VA I have placed as the son of John C Marts. William Henry is designated U3a1a.
