We know Daniel as Benjamin’s son from his presence in the 1850 and 1860 Census household of his father. He is designated H3b3.

Daniel is found in 1870 living with his older brother Benjamin in Montgomery County. He was age 26. A Matilda Mertz was present in that household who I don’t think was a sister nor do I think she was Benjamin’s wife. Could she have been Daniel’s wife.

I cannot find Daniel in 1880.
