Birth, Parent-Proof, Designation notes for Johann George Martz (T1)
From the will of Theobald Martz, we know he had a son George and as he was named the Executor, implying typically the oldest son. When George died in December 1793, the church record indicated he was age 50. Can there be any doubt he was the son Johann Georg Mertz baptized in Germany by his parents Theobald and Catharina 25 July 1745, the record saying he had been born two days earlier. George is designated T1.
Relocated and Census Tracking notes for Johann George Martz (T1)
There is one man named Geo Martz, one named George Martz and one named George Mertz in the 1790 Census in Frederick County, MD. It seems reasonable to assume one of them was this one.

From Theobald’s will, we learn that George had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. So it seems an interesting coincidence that the household of Geo Martz in 1790 has three males over 16 and two females — total.

It just seems like this is the remnants of Theobald’s household. He didn’t mention a wife in his will so she had died and so the only anomaly is why three males and not four, was one of George’s brothers living on his own? In fact, I think Peter was married and living on his own — in nearby Franklin County, PA.
Death and Find-a-Grave notes for Johann George Martz (T1)
There is a listing of deaths in the records of the Evangelical Reformed Church of Frederick and George Martz is listed — he died 31 Dec 1793 at age 50.

I believe George never married.
