Birth, Parent-Proof, Designation notes for Heinrich Martz (H1b4)
We know Heinrich, son of Jacob and Elizabeth, from his baptism at Mertz Church; the record says he was born 11 May 1816. There is a Henry Martz linked to, as his father and mother, Jacob and Elizabeth Martz in Fairhaven Cemetery in Clinton County, IN; the find-a-grave record says he was born 11 Mar 1815. I think it is the same three people from the Mertz Church baptism. Henry is designated H1b4.

Henry and his wife Sarah were named as “defendants” on the 1892 court filing by John’s heirs since Henry was an heir of Jacob.
Discrepancies notes for Heinrich Martz (H1b4)
The date of death for Henry Martz buried at Fairhaven is given as 27 Dec 1894. And I separately found a funeral home burial record for him that says he died 30 Dec 1894 age 79y 6m 22d. Curiously, the arithmetic works out to a birth of 8 Jun 1815.  Now of course I'd like it better if it worked out to 11 May 1816 but these kinds of errors occurred more often than you might think on old tombstones.

So where did the birth date on his find-a-grave memorial come from? It is one of those dates that, in my opinion, while discrepant, still resonates. 11 May 1816, 11 Mar 1815.
Relocated and Census Tracking notes for Heinrich Martz (H1b4)
After moving from Berks County, PA to Clinton County, IN, probably when his father did in the early 1830’s, Henry lived the remainder of his life in Clinton County.
Known Sons notes for Heinrich Martz (H1b4)
From the 1850 Census, we know of sons Jacob and William H. Henry had several more sons born after 1850. But I only have bothered to track those born before 1850:

H1b4a Jacob born 1843
H1b4b William H born 1849
Parent-Proof notes for Sarah (Spouse 1)
Henry Martz married Sarah Swander on 25 Dec 1842 in Clinton County. They had a son, Jacob, in 1843.
