Birth, Parent-Proof, Designation notes for John Martz (S6a)
We know Michael had a son John from Sebastian’s will. There is an extra John in Rockingham in the 1820 and 1830 Census but then he disappears. But a family tree I found covering Michael’s family says he moved to Knox County, IL in 1838 and indeed he surfaces there in the 1840 Census.
In 1850-1870, he was in Henry County, IL but is on find-a-grave buried in Knox County. His find-a-grave memorial says he was born in Rockingham County. It all ties together.
From Census tick marks, I believe he had many daughters but no sons.
He is designated S6a.
Relocated and Census Tracking notes for John Martz (S6a)
In 1830, there are two John Martz, both age 30-39. I have no way of knowing which is which. One has eight persons in the household and one has ten. Arbitrarily, I give this guy 8 persons.
Parent-Proof notes for Anna (Spouse 1)
Her name is given as Robinson on find-a-grave and in a Rockingham tree I found but Robertson on her marriage record.
