Fredy Mertz says that Martin, his ancestor, moved from Rosenwiller to the village of Bust close to Hangviller where he married a first time with Anna Gangloff on Nov. 28,1690. And a second time with Juliana Maria Engler on June 3rd 1720 in La Petite Pierre. Juliana is Fredy’s ancestor. In fact, she and Martin were double ancestors for Fredy as his mother and father descend from two brothers, each sons of Martin and Juliana.

The church record for Martin’s first marriage in Nov 1690 in Bust to Anna Gangloff says he was the son of Jacob of Rosenwiller.
