It says he was the son of Nicholas and Betsy A (Matthews) Hoshall -- the mother having been previously married to Mr. Hampsher by whom she had Nancy, Diana, Johanna and George. In addition to Melchor, by Nicholas, she then had Hester R, Howard and Martha. He was a Baptist.
