Andreas, son of Johann Jacob and Anna Maria (Streich) Hummel was baptized 17 Sep 1732 in Ebingen, Germany.
Research notes for John Andrew (Spouse 1)
John Andrew had a son named John Jacob who married a woman named Elizabeth Nellinger and they then had a son they named Benjamin whose birth/baptism was recorded in 1799 at Moselem Church, the parents listed simply as Jacob and Elizabeth.
Our ancestor Benjamin's 1788 birth was also recorded to his parents Jacob and Elizabeth. The question always was did the first Benjamin die young and this couple then name a second son Benjamin later on (as they did with their sons Johannes and John Jacob). But this made no sense because our Benjamin is consistently said to have been born in 1788 and his parents are believed to be no longer living in Berks County well before 1799.
The explanation that I finally figured out was that 1799 Benjamin belonged to this part of the family.
His will was written 21 Jul 1795. He was of Windsor Twp, Berks Co. Names wife Elizabeth, refers to his children but does not name them.
