1840. Middlecreek Twp age 30-40. Ancestry.com lumps all of Middlecreek Twp in with “Unspecified” in 1840, but handwritten notes on the left-edge of the document show that pages 1-6 are Middlecreek and that is where George Adam is found. Neighbors are Benjamin and Solomon.
1850 Middlecreek Twp age 47. The names of his children come from Census listings starting in 1850. However, in 1850, two immediate neighbors are Simon Hummel age 24 and Andrew Hummel 21. I have placed these two as sons of George and Sarah with no proof other than proximity in 1850. [There is an Ancestry Family Tree showing them both as sons of his too.]

There is a marriage record that in 1842 George Hummel of Penn Twp married Sarah Hix. This could be this George but then Sarah is not the mother of his children.
