I found the biography of William Houston Carroll in a book entitled "History of North Carolina". It says he is an honored member of the Burlington bar. He was born in Kenansville 30 Sep 1862 son of George Washington Carroll and Mary W Houston. He married Sarah Elizabeth Turrentine of Alamance County 28 Jan 1891. They have three children.
