There is a 1999 obituary of Patrick J Mertz age 24 of Danville son of Robert and Betty Long of Danville, survived by sister Joyene married Paul Danielson of Columbus, OH. I'm guessing Robert (Patrick, 's father) may be the son of George M Mertz who lived in or near Lewisburg. Millard C Mertz had a son Robert but according to his mother's obituary, he was living in West Virginia in 1999. This is the only other possible Robert I could find.
