There was a different Amos Martz, confused by some people with this Amos. The other Amos lived in Juniata and then Mifflin County. The key to telling them apart is the 1850 Census. This Amos was still in Dauphin County — though soon to move — with wife Nancy and two daughters. The other Amos was in Lewistown with wife Sarah and three sons.
