A small article in the 17 Aug 1924 Wilmington newspaper announces the impending 2 Sep marriage of Hattie Maddux Cato to Beverly Hunter Barrow, Jr. and says the news ”will be of interest to the many friends of the bride-elect , Miss Cato having visited Mr. and Mrs. T A Lawther a number of times. Mrs. Cato will be pleasantly remembered by many of the older residents of Wilmington as Miss Hattie Ford, having spent much of her earlier life here, visiting her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. T R Lawther.•
