My Comments notes for 7G GM Christian Wayne
About all I knew about this woman was her approximate birth year and her name and I apparently had that a little wrong (I had it Wain -- and it seems to have been Wayne) and then Julian Hargreaves of Amersham, Buckinhamshire found my wesbite. He gave me a copy of his wonderful family tree that follows the Hopewell Family of England down to present times. And he gave me a little more insight into Christian’s biography.

He says she was born about 1665, baptized in 1668 at Clerkenwell, St. James, married 22 Aug 1687 in Wilford, Nottingham and died 6 Mar 1749 and was buried at Mansfield Quaker Meeting House. She was the daughter of Robert Wayne and Ann (possibly) Palmer. Robert had a brother Lancelot Wayne whose estate administration evidently was quite lengthy and complex and as a result the names of many, many legatees, relatives and god-children are well documented.
My Comments notes for John (Spouse 1)
The very thorough research of Paul William Hopewell identifies John Hopewell and his wife Christian Wain as the ancestors of the Hopewells who appeared in Burlington County, New Jersey in about the 1720's. They were Quakers. They did not emigrate.
