My Comments notes for John Kimball
The will of John Kemball was written 21 Feb 1704/5 and proved 12 Apr 1705. He mentioned Mary Jackson, Jane Ashford and Mary Capell -- were they related to him, daughters perhaps? Note, two of them were named Mary, so not all, if any, were daughters. He mentioned Obediah Pritchard, perhaps a son-in-law? And he mentioned Rowland and William Kimball but warned them against conflicting with his executor and son John. So were Rowland and William his sons, nephews, what?

I believe that Mary Jackson was in fact his daughter -- the Mary Kimball who married Thomas Jackson in 1703. I believe she was the sister of William, Rowland and John -- since Thomas Jackson, in his will, referred to his wife Mary and her brother William Kimball.

But I have tried to determine who the other random people were mentioned in John’s will -- without much luck. I did find in an index that John Kimball was mentioned in the will of Thomas Cappell, so I went and found that will. He mentioned wife Mary -- presumably the Mary Capell mentioned in John Kimball’s will. He gave his gold ring to John Kimball Sr. And other than that, he mentioned “random” people too -- including his mistress Martha Hall and his master John Hall. And also, his godson Thomas Greenfield son of Thomas. The terms mistress and master I think refer to the fact that Thomas may have been an indentured servant, stiil perhaps serving his time for having been transported to Maryland.
