Will of Christina Mertz of Washington Twp, Snyder Co written 10 Oct 1857 proved 24 Feb 1874 leaves everything to her son Thomas Eaton Arbogast but if he shall pre-decease her then it goes to her brothers and sisters: Polly, Susan, John, Margaret, Henry and Elizabeth. Brother Henry to be her Executor.

For awhile I thought this person was Christian -- a male -- but through wills and various census listings, it is clear that she was the daughter of Henry and Maria C Hains and sister of Henry Jr. What is less clear is why she always seems to go by the name Christina Mertz though she says Thomas E Arbogast is her son.

Thomas Eaton Arbogast was born in 1846 and he in turn grew up and had a daughter Jennie Arbogast.
